Approximate travel time from the bay area: 90 minutes.

From the East Bay take 880 S. apx. 40 miles to Hwy. 17 S. (from San Francisco take 101 S. to 85 S. to 17 S.). take 17 apx. 13 miles. About 3 miles over the summit, after you pass the Glenwood Drive exit, exit LEFT off the highway onto Laurel Road. Follow Laurel Road down the hill 2 miles. You will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Redwood Lodge Road and follow for about half a mile. You will cross a creek, then make an immediate right (you will see the sign for the Laurel Mill Lodge).

Warning: the Laurel Road exit from the north is not for the faint of heart, as it is a left turn across two lanes of highway traffic on a blind curve. We encourage you to take the following alternate route: Continue on Hwy. 17 about 5 more miles to the Scotts Valley Drive/Granite Creek Road exit, where you will be able to turn around and approach from the south.

From Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, etc. take Hwy 17 N. and exit at Laurel Road. Follow Laurel Road down the hill 2 miles. You will come to an intersection. Turn right onto Redwood Lodge Road and follow for about half a mile. You will cross a creek, then make an immediate right (you will see the sign for the Laurel Mill Lodge).
